Aloha, I am Dustin Omori, the founder of “Love Those Dog Paws” because I love dogs! I live on the Big Island of Hawaii in South Kona. I have had dogs in my life since I was a child. Currently I have three of my own, Fibi, Handsome and Kujo. Fibi was rescued as a puppy from the Hawaii Island Humane Society and Handsome and Kujo, I raised from newborn.
I have completed an online course in Pet Sitting at the Hawaii Community College to learn about the pet sitting business and care of dogs. I have learned so much about dogs from being a volunteer with the Hawaii Island Humane Society and other Kona pet rescue organizations, and fostering over 40 dogs the last few years. I have a special interest in working with puppies including caring for sick puppies which need medical attention to survive, house training, and socializing them to set them up to be great family dogs.
I decided to start this non-profit dog rescue organization in my own community to help rescue puppies and dogs in need. I could not do this alone and I thank the many people who have helped me rescue puppies and dogs on the Big Island of Hawaii. If you have found a lost dog, need help with spay or neuter services, or resources on puppy or dog training, please feel free to reach out and contact us and we will do our best to help you. We are all in this together. Every dog deserves a chance. Our mission is to match the right dog to the right home with a focus on quality over quantity. We ensure all our dogs are spayed and neutered before going into their new homes. We also provide resources for training the new family member along with educational resources on caring for and keeping a pet healthy.
